There are many megatrends! Perhaps too many? However, responsibility and sustainability are the megatrends whose impact on society, the economy, politics and culture is stronger and more sustainable than that of all other megatrends.
WHY FAIRSTAINABILITY? ANOTHER NEW CONSULTANT WORD COMPOSITION? NO!
Social responsibility and sustainability as drivers for growth only work if they have positive economic effects in the long term.
Doing business at the expense of people and the environment has taken place for far too long and a rethink by all actors is urgently needed. Companies will continue to grow and be successful in the future, but it will be the companies that have people and planet firmly in mind alongside profit.
WHY A NEW BASIC PRINCIPLE – NEW RATIONALE?
Accordingly, we always consider growth in the context of responsibility and sustainability or simply "Driven by Fairstainability". The convergence of growth, responsibility and sustainability always requires a strategic, holistic and global view to enable a positive impact on profit, people and planet.
As a strategy consultancy, we therefore do not simply reduce sustainability to the topics of decarbonisation and the circular economy. Rather, we develop sustainable strategic competitive advantages in the context of a holistic view of the United Nations' 17 Sustainability Development Goals.
However, an exclusive focus on sustainability as a driver for the development of growth strategies, strategic competitive advantages and (exponentially) successful business models would clearly undervalue the People dimension in a sustainable triple bottom line approach.
Above all, the UN's global canon of values is far too abstract for strategy and business model development. The connection between one's own economic actions and the promotion of democracy somewhere in the world is very intangible.
Therefore, we merge sustainability and responsibility against the background of the (corporate) socio-ecological challenges. With the help of the meta tools of the German Ethics Index, responsibility and sustainability become tangible, plannable and controllable as an engine for growth.
FAIRSTAINABILITY is the total societal-ecological benefits for the community (environment, society, investors, customers, employees, companies, managers and entrepreneurs), resulting from the products, services and activities of a company or organisation.
FAIRSTAINABILITY is thus a principle of action for dealing with people people and the use of resources, in which the sustainable sustainable satisfaction of customers' needs through the by preserving the natural regenerative capacity of ecosystems (PLANET) and at the same time dealing ethically and responsibly with all stakeholders (PEOPLE).
GROWTH X FAIRSTAINABILITY makes integrated use of the normative SDG values model of the United Nations and the corporate-focused meta-tools of the German Ethics Index (Responsible strategy, organisation, culture, value creation, marketing and sales design), in order to shape corporate behaviour and its manifestations in such a way that the TOTAL FAIRSTAINABILITY IMPACT (total socio-environmental benefit of a company for the community) and
the TOTAL SHAREHOLDER RETURN of a company are maximised.
